pretty pretty fairy things

Etsy is a world in itself, i often loose hours just browsing around!

here are some gorgeous items made by Tamar on etsy, her stuff is so unique and pretty. i really love the items with green in it, for some reason it makes me think of something exotic!

happy nappies!

sometimes i walk around my house and think "still need to do that.. and that.. and that..!" but today i decided to look at the areas of our house that make me happy!

The nappy station! usually associated with bad times, and tramatic smells, i'm actually happy with the way this looks! the little one is also happy, she loves playing with the little crocheted sausage dog which was given to her by a friend.

The blue "P" was given to her by her aunt, and the little donkey cart i found in a church jumble sale, which i am lucky to still have because i also bought a cool banana tin that day and when i put it on the ground for a minute, it was gone! but the donkey cart was still there (obviously didn't take the persons fancy!)

mmm .. felt

who knew felt could be so tasty?

i'm loving all the felt creativity found on etsy at the min, and while there is no real concievable use for this stuff, its so fun, do you really need a reason to have them?

all you have to do is imagine holding these up to your mouth and going " um, nyum, nyum, nyum, gulp"... mmm. delicious!

oh hang on, you wouldn't do that with the letters... well anyway!

Toast from pinakoala, sausage roll and dolly mix from BritishCreamTea and letters from MiChiMa, all at Etsy.com

something for the boys

it seems there is very little made for boys! how about this cool cushion for a present for a cool boy?!

before and after

remeber that purple dresser i said i was going to revamp...?

well, i turned it into a chair. Just kidding! that would be amazing!

no, actually it is still sitting there, but there is a good reason! i can't find a place to paint it!

anyway, here is project no.2 (of 63..) but this one will have a happy ending, because someone else is doing it!

My husband picked this lovely chair up for 11 euro, and then i sat right through it (it's not the first thing my bum has been known to anniliate), which he was delighted with. Again, not really.. however, it did speed along nicely the revamp that was necessary, so this one has gone off to be recovered!. Now, when she comes back, she will be covered in proper upholstery fabric, in oatmeal.. so, actually she wont look much different to how she is now... but she will be quality! and you will be able to sit on her again...! always a bonus for a chair....

so, tartan hey....

well, i know there are many things to be done with tartan. i have so much of it, i am sure i can get around to doing them all! here, however are just a few things i have made with it so far... what do you think?
