black garden

today i went to the hardware store with Andrew to pick up some bulbs for one of the kids programs he was doing, and of course i got distracted (actually, i only came because i wanted to be distracted..).

But can you blame me? check this out! i bought a packet of Black sunflower seeds and Black poppy seeds! Have you ever seen anything like it???

i know you can get black grass, and i have seen black hollyhock. I wonder how weird it would be to have a "black" garden this summer..! it could look like this...

would you feel scared?

every shade of green

With Paddy's day just around the corner, i had a little "green browse" through etsy, and look at all the goodies i found!

St Patrick's day in Ireland is a slightly less classy event, mainly involving a lot of beer, really terrible but entertainingly bad parades, and the inevitable brawls.

Overall, quite a strange day!

XOXOXO

this week we welcomed in our first Irish niece and cousin!

To celebrate, Poppy and i made hugs and kisses (X's and O's!) shortbread biscuits to welcome her!

Poppy mostly sat there and looked suspicious of the dough.
